Some people walk through the woods looking for wildflowers.

I look for both flowers...

There's something wonderfully nostalgic about wandering beneath tall trees, listening to birdsong, and noticing the little details most people hurry past. A curved branch. A patch of moss. The scent of cedar after a light rain.

Every now and then, I'll find a young willow switch that's flexible, smooth, and beautifully made by nature herself.

I smile.

Not because I'm planning anything dramatic.

Because nature has always reminded me that beauty and strength often grow from the very same place.

Before anyone follows me down a woodland trail, we've already talked.
